Todd Wagner states the Scripture:

“Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership can righteousness have with wickedness? Or what fellowship does light have with darkness?” (2 Corinthians 6:15)

Todd highlights marriage as the most intimate relationship in life. The issue then naturally arises of who you should spend the rest of your life with, given that the person whom you will allow to have that most intimate relationship with can affect how you will live your life on this earth.
